Art

    Medieval artists only made paintings and sculptures about religion. Unlike them, Renaissance artists made paintings and sculptures about the world and people's living. So Renaissance art was more colourful and realistic.

    During Renaissance, there are many famous artists, for example, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphel, etc.

    The following are some of the most famous work during the Renaissance:
 

David
This is the first nude staute of the Renaissance. It was sculpted by an Italian sculptor, Donatello in 1430-1435. It is nearly life size.

The Mona Lisa
It is one of the most famous Renaissance painting. It was painted by an famous Italian artist, Leonardo da Vinci. The painting is famous for the lady's haunting, inexplicable smile.

Leda and the Swams
It was also painted by Leonardo da Vinci in around 1506.

David
This was sculpted by Michelangelo in around 1501-1504. Unlike the other sculptures of David, he was waiting for Goliath instead of victorious after battle.

Moses
This was also sculpted by Michelangelo.

The Nymph Galatea
It was painted by Raphel in 1512-1514. This painting came from a poem.


The School Of Athens
This was painted by Raphel in 1510-1511.
